How to Set Up the Bingo Board

Stack Light Commander's Bingo Board gives you a view of your entire operation with a glance. It displays every team in a color-coded grid so you can see who needs help, who is running, and who is idle without walking the floor. This guide covers how to enable teams, read the bingo cards, and configure the board for your facility.

The Bingo Board displays each team as a color-coded cell with real-time status and timing data.

Reading a Bingo Card

Each cell on the Bingo Board represents one team of wireless Andon devices. The cell's indicators change color to match the current light status for that team. Inside each cell you see four pieces of data:

Team Name

The custom label you assign to the team. Use names your operators already know: station numbers, cell names, line designations. The default name for new teams is numeric, like "Team 1", but can be easily changed on the teams page.

Total Time

Total Time shows how long the light has been turned on since the configurable "Cycle Data Start Time". If a light has been turned on 3 times, 3 minutes each, then the total time would be 9 minutes.

Cycle Time

Cycle Time shows how long the light has been on during the current cycle. If a light is currently on, then the cycle time is how long it has been since it was turned on. If the light is currently off, then cycle time will be zero.

Cycle Count

Cycle Count shows the number of times the light has been toggled in the current period. This gives you a running production count without needing a separate counter system.

Setting the Cycle Data Start Time

Total Time, Cycle Time, and Cycle Count are calculated from a configurable start time. Cycle Data Start Time is in the menu beneath the board, and can be set to a specific date or a recurring period like the Current Day.

Tabs

If you operate multiple areas, floors, or facilities, tabs let you have multiple Bingo Boards for each. Create a new tab and assign the relevant teams to it. When switching between tabs, the Bingo Board updates to show only the teams assigned to that tab.

This is especially useful for multi-department facilities. A manager can switch between views instead of scrolling through dozens of unrelated teams.

Fullscreen Mode

The Bingo Board supports fullscreen mode for overhead monitors. This removes the navigation bar and gives you the maximum display area for the grid. Set the browser to fullscreen (F11 on most systems) or use the up-arrow key to make the Bingo Board fill the entire screen. This is the standard way to display Commander on production floor monitors.

Toggling Lights from Software

The Bingo Board is not just a display. You can click on a team's lights to toggle them directly from Commander. This means a supervisor can acknowledge a status and change a light color without walking to the physical andon station. Signals go both ways between the software and the hardware on the floor.
